[Case Study]One kid’s bronchitis case

One child, male, 4 and a half years old, complained of aggravated cough after a cold, feeling that the cough is getting deeper and deeper inside, he can feel sputum, but can’t cough out. Runny nose with nasal congestion. The wheezing sound can be heard when breathing during the daytime.  Appetite good, a bit sore throat, no thirst. He had a fever, took Jing Fang granules from his parents, got sweated by foot bath in hot water, and the fever subsided after sweating but went back soon. The tip of the tongue is red and the coating is thin. The right Cun pulse is floating and strong, with a slight string. the left Cun pulse is slow. This is an exterior-cold-wrapped fire in TCM. After 4 days of taking modified classic herbal formula, he recovered.
The patient said that if it was in China, many children would go to nebulization for similar bronchitis. We believe that traditional Chinese medicine can have better ways to help these kinds of problems.
In addition, the self-administered medication and sweating method of the patient in this medical case are the opposite of the correct treatment method. Therefore, it is not recommended that patients take the drug without consulting TCM practitioners.
