[Case study]Rapid treatment of acute lumbar sprain with acupuncture

One patient, male, 31 years old, plumber, complaint about acute lower back pain. Due to the limited space of his working environment, he had to bend his head and twist his lower back to work, and then drove for a long time, resulting in severe low back pain on the second day. He was unable to turn his waist around and unable to bend as well. He moved very slowly when he came to the clinic, felt difficult to sit down, and continuously complain of strong pain. The pain score was 7-8/10. The affected location is around the L2-L4 of the lumbar spine. After one acupuncture treatment, the patient has been greatly relieved, the waist movement has basically returned to normal, and the pain has shifted to the right Dachangshu point and its outer side. After the second acupuncture treatment, the patient could do all normal activities completely, only less than 1/10 level of the pain left near the right Dachangshu point. A complete improvement can be achieved with one or two more treatments.
This case once again verifies the miraculous effect of acupuncture in the treatment of acute pain.
