[Case study]One case of a child frequent spitting

One patient, male, over 2 years old, recently began to like to spit at others. The parents thought it was a bad habit and frequently asked him to stop it, but the effect was not good.
Current status: normal body shape, good appetite, normal bowel movements and urination. The patient opens his mouth and his tongue is moist with water dripping. The right pulse is long and taut. Everything else is normal.
Diagnosed as water retention in the body. After 3 days of traditional Chinese herbal medicine, the parents reported that the situation of spitting was greatly reduced. The long-term effect is tracked in the near future, and the feedback is that it has rarely happened.
I would like to use this medical case to emphasize to parents that any abnormal reactions in children should not be simply regarded as “bad habits” and ask them to correct them. Most of the abnormal behaviours of children have their physiological and pathological basis. Through the methods of traditional Chinese medicine to get rid of the cause, it will naturally return to normal.
